Dr. Corey Ryan is an optometrist with a degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Before embarking on his career in medical eye care, Dr. Ryan spent 15 years as a personal trainer, helping people improve their health and activities of daily living. During this time, he also became a licensed Emergency Medical Technician, a step that ultimately inspired him to pursue a career in optometry.

Dr. Ryan is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered eye care. He is thrilled to join the esteemed Costello Eye Group, which embodies the healthcare principles instilled in him by his family. The group takes pride in staying at the forefront of medical advancements, building strong patient relationships, and improving community health.

Dr. Ryan graduated at the top of his class, earning accolades in the BSK Honor Society, the National Gold Key Society, and Clinical Honors. He also achieved 4th place at the National Student Quiz Bowl Championship. During his education, Dr. Ryan developed a passion for medical eye care and is committed to helping patients protect and preserve their eyesight. Most importantly, he welcomed the birth of his first son during optometry school—a milestone that continues to motivate him to strive for excellence in his personal and professional life.

Originally from the Pennsylvania and Delaware areas, Dr. Ryan grew up playing baseball, football, golf, skiing, swimming, diving, and even basketball; until he realized he short. As a standout athlete, he played baseball at a national level on his AAU travel team, which earned a top 10 ranking three years in a row. These days, he focuses on teaching his son how to catch a ball without it hitting him in the nose.

Outside of work, Dr. Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and learning new skills. He also dreams of one day building his own classic muscle car.
