Dr. Mackenzie Reed, born and raised in central New York, received her degree from SUNY College of Optometry. Before moving to the big city, she graduated Cum Laude at Clarkson University with a BS in Biomolecular Science and Chemistry.
During her externship rotations, she had the opportunity to provide specialized care in Ocular Disease at the Syracuse VA as well as OMNI Eye Services in Atlanta Georgia. She also has experience in Vision Therapy working with Customized Vision Care and a few of the most well-known MLB teams. Dr. Reed completed her residency at Rochester Regional Health where she furthered her ocular disease training in and out of the hospital. She is thrilled to be back where she grew up to help those in her community.
When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and new puppy, Lennie. Being in Potsdam, NY for 4 years taught her how much she loves the outdoors, especially skiing and hiking. Recently she has started running, has finished several half marathons and always enjoys a good Boilermaker 15K.
